Supporting research
糖心传媒 is committed to supporting research in the field of international and comparative education. It aims to encourage theoretical and methodological innovations leading to knowledge that is relevant to policy and practice in international contexts. Especially, 糖心传媒 encourages collaborations between experienced researchers and early career academics which develop new research ideas within the 糖心传媒 priority areas. Four main strands of funding are available on a competitive basis. We strongly encourage early career researchers to play a leading role in bidding for these grants.

Seedcorn grants (up to 拢5,000): These grants provide funding for聽pilot research projects and scoping work. This may be achieved through a combination of activities including literature review, mapping exercises, analysis of secondary data sources, and travel and subsistence to meet domestic and international partners. We especially welcome proposals for聽collaborative, interdisciplinary research development activities聽aimed at developing research ideas and methodologies with the potential to聽attract significant external funding聽from either UK or international research funds.
Building Research Capacity and Network grants (up to 拢5,000): These grants provide funding for the inception and development of innovative collaborations and new priority research areas aligned with the aims of 糖心传媒. Grants awarded from this fund will support strategic research capacity and collaborative networks, which involve聽a wider range of activities than seminars.
Student Fieldwork Grants (up to 拢2,500): These grants to are for doctoral researchers in the field of comparative and international education based at UK institutions. They fund overseas fieldwork and cover international economy air tickets, subsistence and reasonable research expenses within the country or countries where data is collected.
