Dr Ronghui (Kevin) Zhou is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Global Sustainable Development and a thematic fellow at the Institute of Global Sustainable Development, both at the University of Warwick. His research focuses on the role of education in supporting sustainable development across various contexts. Substantive topics of particular interest include: 1) Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in primary education in China; 2) the SDGs and higher education in the UK; 3) minerals, just transition and social (in)justice in the Global South. When the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were established in 2015, one significance of the agenda, which differentiate itself from all previous development agendas, was to leave no one behind. A holistic, comprehensive, and sustainable development of all sides of society was pictured to help the current and future generation to build and live in a sustainable world.
