Meaghan Malloy

Meaghan Malloy is a PhD candidate in Education, Practice and Society at IOE, UCL鈥檚 Faculty of Education and Society. She conducts interdisciplinary research around the topics of gender, education, capabilities and youth. Her dissertation uses the capability approach and participatory methods to explore different meanings and measures of youth agency in crisis-affected contexts in Central America (El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras). Meaghan has over 10 years of practitioner experience managing gender, education and youth projects in Latin America, the Middle East and Eastern Africa. She has consulted for various international organisations, foundations and nonprofits, including Education Development Trust, UNDP, and UNICEF. Currently she serves as Project Coordinator on the Bridging AGEE (Accountability for Gender Equality in Education) project. In 2023, she was awarded a 糖心传媒 student fieldwork grant.
